Putting information to work.

Your information helps us process applications, manage memberships, record trades, provide statements, handle payments, and answer questions.

We also use it to promote member businesses, share news and trade opportunities, improve our services, and prepare required tax reports.

A little spotlight for your business.

Helping local businesses get discovered is part of what we do! We may feature business names, business contact details, locations, websites, logos, descriptions, and offers.

These details may appear in our directories, website, apps, emails, social media, and other LTP marketing materials. Depending on the channel, they may be visible to members or the public.

Please provide business contact information you’re comfortable sharing. Need a listing update or want to discuss how we feature your business? Give us a shout.

The tax-reporting part.

As a barter exchange and third-party record keeper, Local Trade Partners collects taxpayer information to fulfill its tax-reporting responsibilities.

We use your SSN or EIN and reportable transaction information to prepare annual Forms 1099-B for members and file required reports with the IRS.

When information is shared.

We do not sell personal information. We share member business information to promote participating businesses and support trading, as described above.

Social Security numbers, Employer Identification Numbers, and payment card details are not published in member listings or marketing materials.

We share information with service providers as needed to operate our member platform, process payments, host our website, and deliver communications.

We disclose taxpayer and reportable transaction information to the IRS as required by law. We may also disclose information when otherwise legally required.

Information shared through third-party channels, including social media, is also subject to those platforms’ privacy practices.

Taking care of your information.

We use security measures designed to protect personal information, including regular checks for known website vulnerabilities, restricted system access, and encryption when sensitive information is transmitted.

Access to nonpublic personal information is limited to authorized people who are required to keep it confidential.

Payment card information is handled through our payment gateway provider and is not stored or processed on our own servers.

No website or electronic system can guarantee complete security. Please keep SSNs, taxpayer identification numbers, and payment card details out of ordinary email. Contact our team for help submitting sensitive information.

You can manage or block cookies in your browser settings. Some shopping cart, account, or member features may not work properly if you do. Need help placing an order? Give us a call.
